CONTEST STRUCTURE:

 

All shows are conducted through Zoom.

The contest will take place on Friday, August 19th through Wednesday, August 24th 2022,

and the award ceremony will be on Sunday, August 28th 2022.

 

There will be one show per day until the finals. 

There are three categories which are: 

-Openers (5 years of experience or less, get 3 minutes to perform.)

-Features (5-10 years of experience, get 5 minutes to perform.)

-Headliners (10 plus years of experience, get 7 minutes to perform.)

First place from each preliminary show will move on to the finals on August 26th or 27th, 2022.

The winner of the finals in each category will be crowned the official winners.

CONTEST RULES:

-Sets must be performed mostly in English or you will be disqualified.

​

-Openers will perform 3 minute sets, with a minute to wrap up, totaling 4 minutes.

-Features will perform 5 minute sets with a minute to wrap up, totaling 6 minutes.

Headliners will perform 7 minute sets with a minute to wrap up, totaling 8 minutes.

If you go over your time, 25% of your votes will be deducted.

-If you miss your scheduled performance date you will be disqualified.

-If you show up late to the pre-show meeting, you will have to perform first on the lineup.

​

-In the event that you are disqualified,

you no longer have a chance at winning and your entry fee will not be refunded.
